I attach the greatest care to the choice of types of wood, the contours of the models, the arches, the varnishes and the assembly stage.Įverything must come together to create the best sound for the musician. I have been fortunate to be able to study closely original instruments made by these craftsmen in my workshop or in specialised museums.Įither as an exact replica or a present-day interpretation of these models, each one of my instruments is made according to the principles of craftsmanship as practised from the 16th century in the north of Italy. Firmly rooted in the tradition of classical Italian violin-making, my instruments are inspired by the grand masters of Cremona, Brescia and Venice.Īmati, Guarnerius, Stradivarius, Da Salo, Maggini, Goffriler, Montagnana – all these master craftsmen raised violin-making to the level of an art-form, still revered today for its esthetic and accoustic qualities. ![]()
